Exterior Improvements, Section 504 Conversion, and HVAC Upgrades

Metropolis and Brookport, IL

Project IL-41-7/Metropolis

Repoint and repair exterior CMU, cut new and modify existing expansion joints and seal, apply elastomeric coating at CMU, and replace sealant at all openings.

Project IL-41-9/Metropolis

Convert one unit to a Section 504 compliant unit with sight and hearing-impaired notification system.  Replace central air in existing HVAC system at designated elderly units.  This shall include new condensing unit coil, piping, condensing unit pad, disconnect, modifying existing ductwork, and installing new thermostat.

Project IL-41-8/Brookport (By Unit Price 'A')

Replace central air to existing HVAC system in a single dwelling unit.  This shall include new condensing unit coil, piping, condensing unit pad, disconnect, modifying existing ductwork, and installing new thermostat.

Project IL-41-8/Brookport and IL-41-9/Metropolis (By Unit Price 'B')

Replace existing air handler in a single dwelling unit.  This shall include necesssary gas piping modifications, electrical connections, and ductwork modifications.

Various Improvements

Capital Development Board (CDB)

Steelville, Carbondale, Anna, Vienna, Dongola, and Elizabethtown, IL

Steelville: D8; Maintenance Storage Facility (D0808/IDOT 556-0001)

Work to include removal of existing storage building by the Using Agency.  Construct a new 6-bay multi-use building with concrete slab, walls and pre-engineered metal building.  Overhead doors to be provided and installed by the Using Agency.

Carbondale: D9; Maintenance Operations/Supply Buildings (D0903)

Remove the existing EPDM roof system with ballast down to the existing concrete deck.  Install new T.P.O. membrane roof system and flashing.

Anna: D9; Cold Storage Building (IDOT 564-0001)

Work to include construction of a new 4-bay post and beam wood framed building with concrete slab, metal wall and roof panels.  Overhead doors to be provided and installed by the Using Agency.

Vienna: D9; Cold Storage Building (IDOT 604-0002)

Work to include construction of a new 4-bay post and beam wood framed building with concrete slab, metal wall and roof panels.  Overhead doors to be provided and installed by the Using Agency.

Dongola: D9; Storage Building (D0958)

Work to include insulating of the existing post and beam building and installing gas fired radiant tube heaters.  Construction of a partially enclosed lean-to structure on the exterior of the building.

Elizabethtown: D9; Salt Storage Building (D0980/IDOT 597-0001)

Work to include removal of the existing salt storage wood framed structure and concrete slab and foundation.  Construct new 3-bay facility with concrete walls and slab with a pre-engineered metal building.

Fire Protection Upgrades

Cairo, IL

Projects IL-7-3/Cairo (Greany Gardens, Moreland Manor, Johnson Terrace, Butler Homes) and IL-7-8/Cairo (Harrington Estates)

Work consists of removing and replacing all smoke alarms.  Install additional smoke detectors as shown.

Project IL-7-4/Cairo (Connell F. Smith Building)

Work consists of abatement of ACM flooring in trash chute room at all floors by non-friable methods.  Install new vinyl base.  Remove and replace existing fire alarm system including smoke and heat detectors, horn strobes, and pull stations.

Elevator Modernization

IL-126-1/Marion (Butler Hi-Rise) - Base Bid

Work consists of modernization of two existing hydrualic elevators including controls, motors, safety devices, cab finishes and door systems, hoist way doors and operators.  Electrical work includes replacement of designated equipment and connection of elevator No. 2 to the existing generator.  Other work items include camera system expansion and finish repairs.

IL-126-6/Marion (Lamar Hi-Rise) - Base Bid

Work consists of modernization of two existing hydrualic elevators including controls, motors, safety devices, cab finishes and door systems, hoist way doors and operators.  Other work items include hydrualic piping replacement, electrical modifications, operable mesh partitions, camera system expansion, and finish repairs.

IL-126-6/Marion (Lamar Hi-Rise) - Alternate Bid

Replace both elevator cab enclosures.
